We're a small team of former ASO specialists and mobile growth engineers who kept rebuilding the same spreadsheet every time a keyword test or icon variant needed evaluating. Controlled Research: Self Test is the tool we wished existed — a dedicated, offline workspace built specifically for the way app marketers actually think: in hypotheses, before/after pairs, and hard numbers.

Controlled Research: Self Test is designed as a fully offline instrument. It does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or analyze any personal data, usage data, or device data of any kind. Every hypothesis test, calculator entry, and experiment log you create stays local to the device it was created on — no API keys, no accounts, no servers involved.
Information We Collect
We collect nothing. The app has no sign-up flow, no analytics SDK, and no background network calls — your project names, calculator inputs, and experiment notes never leave the screen you typed them on.
How We Use Information
Because nothing is collected, nothing is used, aggregated, profiled, or sold. Your conversion rate, CPA, ROAS, and uplift calculations exist purely for your own review inside the app.
Data Storage
All projects, hypothesis tests, and ASO/ASA experiment logs are stored locally in the app's own on-device storage. There is no cloud sync, no remote database, and no backup service tied to the app.
Third-Party Services
The app integrates no third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporters, or trackers of any kind. It functions completely offline and never requires an API key to operate.
Data Security
Since your data never travels over a network, it isn't exposed to interception, remote breach, or server-side compromise. Its security is simply the security of your own device.
Children's Privacy
The app does not knowingly or unknowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. With no data collection mechanism present at all, it is inherently compliant with COPPA and similar frameworks.
Your Control
There are no accounts to manage and nothing stored remotely to request deletion of. Uninstalling the app removes every project, calculator entry, and experiment log it ever held.
Changes to This Policy
If our approach to privacy ever changes, an updated policy will be published here with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
